Description

1950-D Half Dollar, MS66+ Full Bell Lines
Vibrant Luster, Attractive Toning

1950-D 50C MS66+ Full Bell Lines PCGS. This issue is readily available with Full Bell Lines in lower Mint State grades, but its availability with such dramatically drops at the Premium Gem grade level; PCGS has certified 74 examples in MS66, but only seven have been awarded a Plus designation, and none are finer (9/14). This piece is tied numerically with the example in the highest-rated Registry Set, and showcases intermingled cherry-red, forest-green, and olive-gold toning over the obverse, while the reverse is primarily untoned, save for a thin ring of rainbow color seen around the periphery. The strike is sharp, and the preservation is in keeping with the numeric grade.(Registry values: N2998)
