1953-S 50C MS64 Full Bell Lines NGC. The 1953-S is among the most challenging Franklin half dollars to acquire with Full Bell Lines. NGC and PCGS combined report only 69 grading events of such coins, including possible duplication. NGC-certified pieces are especially rare, regardless of grade. The present coin displays sharp definition throughout and softly frosted luster. While most examples of this issue are brilliant or tinged light golden, this coin displays deeper, mottled amber-orange toning. A loupe fails to reveal bothersome abrasions.
