Description

1954-S Half Dollar, MS67+
Beautifully Toned and Preserved

1954-S 50C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Many Franklin half dollars graded at the Superb Gem level reveal microscopic imperfections under scrutiny with a loupe. This Plus-graded, CAC-endorsed coin does not. Even under forest-green, crimson, and russet-gold toning, the obverse is pristine on Franklin's hair and cheek and in the field. The reverse is olive-gold along the left margin and brilliant elsewhere with a comparable level of surface quality to the obverse. The bell lines are slightly weak in the vicinity of the crack. Population: 7 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 6 in 67, 0 finer (11/17).(Registry values: N1793)
