1959-D Half Dollar, MS67+ Full Bell Lines
Original Toning, Tied for Finest Known
1959-D 50C MS67+ Full Bell Lines NGC. This Denver issue is
conditionally rare in Superb Gem Full Bell Lines condition. No Full
Bell Lines coins are numerically finer than MS67, although a
handful of Plus-designated pieces are known, these being the
top-tier coins for the date. The present coin displays vibrant mint
luster with dusky peach-gold toning, while subtle iridescence
appears around the borders. A few tiny marks on Franklin's lower
bust are all that deny an even finer grade. Census: 11 in 67 (3 in
