1950 50C PR67+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. The introduction of Plus grading shook up PCGS Registry collecting, and in the case of proof Franklin half dollar enthusiasts, Plus grades created a new tier of rarity to pursue. This representative ranks with just one other as the finest Cameo obtainable in a PCGS holder, and is more than a full grade point finer than the highest-graded Deep Cameo at that service -- an ideal combination for the advanced Registry Set competitor. This Plus-graded coin, which has the added bonus of a CAC green label, is magnificently preserved with solid core contrast -- substantial white-on-black effects, and narrow border patina that is colorfully iridescent, especially in blue and gold-to-orange hues. Of the 25 PR67 Cameo submissions at PCGS, this is one of only three in PR67+ Cameo, tied for finest within the designation. Population: 3 in 67+ Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 17 in 67, 1 finer (3/20).
