French Colony Piastre 1887-A MS65+ NGC, Paris mint, KM5, Lec-268. A notoriously difficult issue to locate in Gem Mint State, especially the earlier dates, as seen here. Generally plagued by heavy bag marks, this exquisite specimen shows no such indications, instead expressing generous satiny luster that is nearly unbroken by noticeable surface contact. The patina on this coin is especially refined, antique in appearance but not so heavy as to distract the viewer from the abundance of glossy luster present. The second-finest example of the date available in certified state, and a treasured offering as such.

巴黎造幣廠。世人皆知具備珍品原廠狀態的坐洋向來稀罕少見得如鳳毛麟角，當中又以早期年份者最為難得。此幣大多帶有嚴重的碰痕，然而當前這枚精巧悅目的例子倖免於此，更泛映著飽滿銀亮的光澤，在立體分明的幣面上近乎無懈可擊。包漿尤見細緻悅目，雖然古樸陳舊，但又不致過於濃厚而掩蓋耀目閃爍的光芒。此為該年份的第二佳評分例子，令人愛不釋手。
