    German Colony. Wilhelm II gold 15 Rupien 1916-T MS64 NGC, Tabora mint, KM16.2, Fr-1. Arabesque below the "A" of OSTAFRIKA variety. Borderline Gem and scarce as such, with deeply antiqued golden color across both sides and graphite color that has collected around the base of the raised designs. This popular emergency issue features the reverse die variety with the shorter floral scroll or arabesque terminating beneath the A in 'Ostafrika' and is completed by substantial luster and a noticeably bold strike for the issue.
