Description

Bavaria. Maximilian II silver Proof Uniface Obverse Die Trial Taler ND (1844) PR64+ Deep Cameo PCGS, KM-TS10, Kahnt-116b, Wittelsbach-Unl, AKS-Unl, J-Unl, Thun-Unl. A stunning Pattern, likely produced as a proposed design for Maximilian's Vereinstaler. The juxtaposition between the frosted devices and the deeply mirrored fields enhance the sole motifs present on the obverse. Crossing our auction block on only two previous occasions, this is of the highest scarcity and is enhanced by the excellent eye appeal, hence the plus designation. Sure to be an item of interest for German States and trial collectors alike.

Metal: Silver
