Description

Bavaria. Maximilian I Taler 1625 UNC Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Munich mint, KM194, Dav-6069, Hahn 106. Inverse lion head variety. Obverse iconography features Madonna and Child enthroned on a crescent moon within a flaming halo, the Christ child's left hand raised. On reverse is a crowned coat of arms cartouche encircled by the Order of the Fleece chain (with two inward-facing lion heads as upper decoration), the divided year on the sides below.
