    Description

Erfurt. Gustav Adolf II of Sweden gold Ducat 1634 AU Details (Rim Filing, Obverse Tooled) NGC,  KM63, Fr-923. An intriguing issue that displays the portrait of Gustav Adolf II with reverse crowned arms. Despite the details assignment which notes rim filing and tooling in the obverse fields, this specimen also presents subtly-patinated surfaces and minimal wear to the design motifs. A fine example of this type that was struck during a period of Swedish occupation in northern Germany, well-collected at all levels.
