    Description

    Elite for the Issue

Hamburg. Free City gold 10 Mark 1874-B MS64 NGC, Hannover mint, KM286, Jaeger-207. A seldom-topped example of this single-year issue, featuring the older style arms of Hamburg with the non-split rendering of the denomination within the reverse legend. A fully original coin, the design is sharply impressed with abundant luster and few marks for the grade. A touch of pinkish-orange patina, mostly clinging to the central designs, pleases the eye. The finest example of the type certified to date by NGC and the only Uncirculated specimen that we have ever offered.
