Description

Saxony. Friedrich August III Taler 1779-IEC MS65+ NGC, Dresden mint, KM993.1, Dav-2690. An absolutely exquisite example of the type, besting the Cape Coral example with this coveted plus designation, surely awarded for the hasty luster that whips around the flan during in-hand inspection, breathing life into its steely, pewter patina. This type has been well-represented in auction records over the last two decades, but this specimen remains unchallenged across the major grading companies.
