    Description

Saxony. Friedrich August III Vicariat 2/3 Taler (Gulden) 1792-IEC MS67 NGC, Dresden mint, KM1033, Kahnt-1160, Buck-184. Well struck, with frosty mint luster beneath light golden patina, with a slight deeper golden area on the reverse. Splendid eye-appeal, with no imperfections worthy of mention. This one-year type, struck for the Vicariat, is very rare in such superior quality. The finest certified example, with the closest other being an MS64.

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
