    Description

Saxony. Johann Georg I 2 Taler 1630 MS62 NGC, Dresden mint, KM416, Dav-7604A. A bright and lustrous example of this issue struck upon the centenary of the Augsburg Confession with honey-gold tone around the peripheries. The overall quality of the strike is excellent, particularly on the central figures of Johann Georg and Johann the Steadfast, who was Elector of Saxony at the time of the drafting of the Augsburg Confession as well as one of its signatories.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
