    Description

Saxony. Johann Georg IV Klippe Taler 1693 XF45 PCGS, Dresden mint, KM642, Dav-7649. Struck to commemorate the induction of Johann Georg into the Order of the Garter, this piece displays relatively crisp details without commensurate wear for the grade. The dark argent toning of the fields deepens to an almost violet-blue when rotated in the proper light as the peripheries brighten with whitish gold tinges.
