German States: Speyer. Damian August Philipp Karl 1/2 Taler 1770-AS MS65 NGC,...
Description
Speyer. Damian August Philipp Karl 1/2 Taler 1770-AS MS65 NGC, Mannheim mint, KM68, Ehrend-7/39. Anton Schäffer as Mint Master. A desirable, ornately designed piece commemorating the accession of Prince-Bishop August Philipp of Limburg-Stirum. The finest graded NGC representative of the type, though the obverse (as pictured) strike is not particularly crisp and some unattractive toning hampers the eye appeal slightly.Ex.
