    1836 Gobrecht Dollar, PR63+
    Judd-60 Original, Die Alignment IV

1836 $1 Judd-60 Original, Medal Alignment, Pollock-65, R.1, PR63+ NGC. Silver. Plain Edge. Die Alignment IV (center of Liberty's head opposite the right side of F in OF). Die State H. All the diagnostic markers from previous die states are clear and the diagonal clash mark above the eagle's wing is especially crisp. The surfaces of this piece are notable for the depth of reflectivity found in the fields, mirroring that is never seen on Die Alignment I dollars. Each side also displays aqua-blue toning with a slight undercurrent of rose patina. Sharply detailed with no obvious contact marks. A few minor hairlines can be found with a loupe beneath the toning.
