Borderline Uncirculated 1849-D Dollar
1849-D G$1 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. A crisply struck slider that has just a trace of wear on the hair above the ear. The smooth surfaces display original orange-gold toning. Very similar in appearance to an MS62, but for less than half the cost. The sole Dahlonega issue of the Open Wreath subtype. Population: 40 in 58, 45 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25BD, PCGS# 7507, GSID# 8055)
