    Description

1849 G$1 No L, D-1, Normal Stars, MS63 NGC. Stars 9, 12, and 13 are widely repunched, as always seen on the briefly coined No L subtype. A lustrous and lovely caramel-gold Select representative. The strike is sharp and the fields show only delicate grazes. Breen (1988) stated a mintage of 1,000 pieces, but this figure has since been challenged, and the Guide Book currently lists only a combined production for all 1849 Philadelphia varieties.
