Gleaming Gem 1849 Open Wreath Gold Dollar
1849 G$1 Open Wreath MS65 NGC. Breen-6004. Large Head, thin numerals, L on bust truncation. This gleaming canary-yellow Gem offers pristine surfaces with excellent eye appeal. Some minor planchet porosity appears in the center reverse, along with a couple of scattered scrapes that preclude an even finer grade. Faint die clashing occurs on the reverse.
