1849 G$1 Open Wreath MS65 PCGS. Breen-6002. Small Head, With
L, most easily recognized by the boldly repunched star at 5
o'clock. This satin Gem combines brilliant green-gold luster with
similarly brilliant and beautiful orange and violet toning over
portions of the obverse and reverse. The strike is typical for the
issue, showing slight weakness at most of the stars. Population: 50
in 65, 15 finer (5/11).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25B8, PCGS# 7502, Greysheet# 8008)
