Description

Sharply Defined 1850-C Dollar, MS60 Details

1850-C G$1 --Cleaned--ANACS. MS60 Details. Variety 3-C, the only known variety. This issue is often found with a weak strike, but the example in this lot exhibits excellent definition on all of the design elements. The somewhat prooflike fields offer a degree of contrast with the motifs, especially when the coin is tilted under a light source. The peach-gold surfaces reveal fine hairlines under magnification.
