    1850-C Gold Dollar, Rare MS61
    Sharp and Reflective

    1850-C G$1 MS61 NGC. Variety 1. The 1850-C is among the scarcer Charlotte gold dollars known. From a mintage of 6,966 pieces only 150 to 250 examples are believed extant, per Doug Winter. This Uncirculated coin is extremely rare. The strike is unusually sharp for the date, and the fields are noticeably reflective. A scattering of tiny ticks defines the grade. Census: 15 in 61, 4 finer (7/16).
