Description
Fully Struck 1850-O Gold Dollar, MS63
Lowest Mintage New Orleans Issue
1850-O G$1 MS63 PCGS. Variety 1. A razor-sharp orange-gold
representative that has a high grade reverse and only a few
delicate obverse field grazes. Since silver coins were hoarded in
the South by 1850, the low mintage of the 1850-O is difficult to
fathom, though a reasonable New Orleans quarter eagle production
that year may be responsible. Nearly unobtainable any finer.
