Well Struck 1851-C Gold Dollar
AU58, Variety 4-D
1851-C G$1 AU58 NGC. CAC. Variety 4-D. The reverse date has
the bases of the 1's below the leaf tips, the stars are recut, and
clashmarks from the head are visible within the wreath, all of
which confirm the variety. Yellow-gold surfaces display ample
luster, and are minimally marked. Nice detail is seen on the design
elements, including those of the reverse, that are often
weak.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25BL, PCGS# 7514, GSID# 8060)
