1851-C G$1 MS61 PCGS. Variety 1. The Charlotte Mint struck a respectable mintage of 41,267 gold dollars in 1851. As might be expected, the 1851 is a relatively available issue in high grade and a popular choice of branch mint type collectors. This impressive Mint State specimen offers well-detailed design elements and lustrous orange-gold surfaces that are lightly marked for the grade. Population: 23 in 61, 58 finer (8/20).
