Description

1851-D Gold Dollar, MS61
Glimmering Prooflike Piece

1851-D G$1 MS61 PCGS. Winter 3-D. White-gold surfaces contain a large helping of prooflike mirroring. All design elements, both obverse and reverse, are intricately detailed. Mint State survivors of this date are more available than for the average Dahlonega dollar, and the reason for this is unknown. However, few contain the raw eye appeal of this breathtaking survivor.
