1851-D Gold Dollar, MS62
Scarce in Mint State

1851-D G$1 MS62 PCGS. Variety 3-E. A late die state, with heavy clash marks on the reverse and a radial die crack from the rim at 3:30 on the same side. Although not nearly as plentiful as the 1849-D, the 1851-D is one of the more often seen gold dollars from the Dahlonega Mint, ideal for the collector seeking a pleasing Mint State representative from the Georgia facility. This piece is sharply struck, with satiny green-gold luster. No major abrasions are observed upon close examination. Population: 14 in 62, 7 finer (8/14).(Registry values: N4719)
