Gem 1851 Gold Dollar, MS66 PCGS
1851 G$1 MS66 PCGS. The 1851 is a common date in the Type One series, as one might infer from the mintage of 3.3 million pieces. Nevertheless, it is infrequently encountered in MS66 condition. Only 19 other coins have been so graded by PCGS with seven finer (11/04). Rich reddish-golden color covers each side of this lustrous Premium Gem. Only the hair of Liberty is slightly soft, while all the other design elements are sharply detailed.(#7513) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25BK, PCGS# 7513, GSID# 8011)
