Appealing for the Grade

1852-D G$1 MS61 PCGS. Winter 4-F. Any example from this issue is rare, with the majority ranging from Very Fine to Almost Uncirculated. Mint State pieces are elusive, with PCGS reporting only 21 (5/25). Lustrous surfaces in vibrant orange-gold reveal subtle hues of lavender and olive amongst the recesses and edges, delivering wonderful eye appeal. Abrasions are consistent with the grade and are not significant. Population: 11 in 61, 10 finer (4/25).(Registry values: N4719)
