Description

1852 Gold Dollar, MS66+
Stunning, CAC Endorsed

1852 G$1 MS66+ NGC. CAC. Despite being a common date, the 1852 gold dollar is scarce in MS66 and better grades. This stunning Premium Gem piece features frosty mint luster enhanced by the virtually unabraded orange-gold surfaces, save for the trivial die polish lines and nominal die clashing. Sharply struck at most areas of the design element, only minor weakness is evident on the second L in DOLLAR and the lower interior berry on the right side of the wreath. Metal flow on the star below Liberty's bust does not distract. A visually appealing, high-quality representation of the issue. Census: 17 in 66 (1 in 66+), 4 finer. CAC: 3 in 66, 2 finer (11/22).(Registry values: N4719)
