Gorgeous 1853 Gold Dollar, MS66
1853 G$1 MS66 NGC. Coruscating satiny luster enhances the vibrant yellow-gold surfaces. The strike is nearly full, with almost all of the design intricacies clearly brought up. A few nearly microscopic handling marks do not distract. The 1853 is a common choice among type collectors because of its high mintage. Premium Gems, however, are seldom seen, and it would be difficult to locate an example nicer than the present coin.
