Great Color and Luster
1853-O G$1 MS64 NGC. Variety 1. Ex: Fairfax Collection. The
high date variant of this more available New Orleans emission, this
coin displays the bold die lines near the ITE in UNITED. A sharply
struck and coruscating near-Gem with a hint of prooflike
reflectivity from its butter-gold fields. Well preserved, though
the numerical grade is limited by minor mint-made strike-throughs
near the upper stars and the TES in STATES. Census: 36 in 64, 12
