Originally Patinated MS64 Type Two 1854 Gold Dollar
1854 G$1 Type Two MS64 PCGS. This is a remarkably well preserved 1854 Type Two gold dollar. The surfaces are virtually devoid of any abrasions and the striking details are certainly impressive for this normally weak type coin. The reverse is fully struck, even on the LL in DOLLAR and the central digits in the date. The obverse is nearly as strong with just a bit of softness noted on Liberty's hair curls around the face. Only light clash marks are evident (with magnification) and the surfaces display rich, variegated orange-gold and lilac patina. Exceptional overall quality.(#7531) (Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C3, PCGS# 7531, GSID# 8015)
