1854-S G$1 MS62 NGC. The 1854-S Type One gold dollar was the first issue of this denomination struck at the San Francisco Mint, with a tiny mintage of 14,632 pieces. Mint State examples are rare today. The present coin is sharply detailed, with satiny mint luster, and light greenish-gold surfaces. Census: 20 in 62, 14 finer (11/10).(Registry values: N2998)
