AU Type Two 1855-C Gold Dollar
1855-C G$1 AU50 NGC. The better struck die marriage with the second 5 in the date centered beneath the right side of the A in DOLLAR. This mustard-gold example has prominent clashmarks behind Liberty's neck, but no abrasions are noticed. Enormously popular as the sole Type Two Charlotte issue.
