    1855-C G$1 VF30 PCGS. Variety 1. The rarer of the two 1855-C gold dollar varieties, showing the 8 and (DO)L(LAR) weakly defined. The obverse portrait shows grade-consistent wear. This midgrade example has attractive orange-gold color and minimally marked surfaces. As the only Type Two Charlotte issue, the 1855-C experiences strong demand in all grades. Housed in an old green label holder.
