Description
1855 G$1 AU58 NGC. Well struck with crisp details on DOLLAR and the date. Attractive straw-gold toning adorns the satiny surfaces, which retain a good deal of luster for the grade. There are typical, moderate clash marks on each side, and a shallow pinscratch extends from the bottom of O in OF through the A to the left side of M in AMERICA, near the upper right obverse border. Just a touch of rub on Liberty's upper hair detail prevents a Mint State grade assessment. (Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C4, PCGS# 7532, GSID# 8016)
