Lustrous 1855 Gold Dollar, MS62

1855 G$1 MS62 PCGS. A Mint State example of the Type Two or Small Indian Head gold dollar, struck only from 1854 to 1856. The design was modified in Philadelphia prior to the beginning of 1856 coinage, but the San Francisco Mint was forced to use old dies that year while waiting for new dies to arrive.
