Not Sold Description
BU 1855 Type Two Gold Dollar
1855 G$1 MS 61 PCGS. The moderately abraded surfaces are rather bright for the grade with traces of cartwheel luster on both sides. The surfaces alternate between original green-gold coloration and rich orange-gold patina as the coin rotates beneath a light. Typically clashmarked for the issue, yet suitably defined over the focal features. A perennially popular issue among both circulated and Mint State type collectors, the 1855 is second only to the 1854 in terms of availability among Type Two gold dollars.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C4, PCGS# 7532, GSID# 8016)
