Select Uncirculated 1855 Gold Dollar
1855 G$1 MS63 PCGS. Second year of the Type Two design, and always a popular type coin, especially in high grades. This is a solid Uncirculated coin that is atypical for the issue. Sharply struck in most areas, just showing the slightest softness on the upper portion of the 8 in the date and on Liberty's hair curls above the face. Rich orange-gold luster covers both sides with the most apparent surface flaw being a shallow, curved luster graze in the left obverse field between UNITED and STATES.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C4, PCGS# 7532, GSID# 8016)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
