Description

1855 Type Two Gold Dollar, MS63
Exceptionally Attractive

1855 G$1 Type Two MS63 PCGS. An especially fine Uncirculated representative from the second year of this short-lived type. Not only are the details of this piece boldly brought up, even on the normally weak areas on the upper portion of the 8 in the date and on Liberty's hair curls above the face, but appealing orange and rose patina graces both sides. Die clashing is more noticeable on the reverse. It has been some time since we last handled an MS63 example of this issue that was so attractive.
