    Description

1855 Type Two Gold Dollar, MS64
    Sharply Struck, Rich Orange-Gold Color

1855 G$1 Type Two MS64 NGC. Contrary to most Type Two gold dollars, the strike is sharp on this 1855 Philadelphia near-Gem, making it an ideal representative of the type. Frosted surfaces radiate vibrant luster and rich, orange-color, with all of the design elements crisply defined and no evidence of die clashing. A few light abrasions are hair-thin and inconspicuous, while eye appeal is blatantly strong.(Registry values: N7079)
