1856 G$1 Slanted 5 MS66 PCGS. CAC. Slanted 5 representatives are more commonly found than the scarce Upright 5 variant. Naturally, even the more available variety is decidedly rare in this high grade. Near-pristine surfaces are thickly frosted and display light peach-gold coloration. This is the first year of the Type Three design that would continue through the end of the series in 1889. Population: 11 in 66 (3 in 66+), 4 finer. CAC: 6 in 66, 1 finer (1/18).(Registry values: N1)
