1856 G$1 Slanted 5 MS66 PCGS. One of two variants for this first-year Type Three gold dollar issue, with a slanted Longacre-style 5 in the date as opposed to an upright 5. The apricot-gold surfaces have delightful, satiny luster with a few patches of brilliance at the obverse margins. The strike is bold, and the eye appeal is incredible. Certified in a green label holder. Population: 7 in 66, 3 finer (12/11).(Registry values: N1)
