Lustrous AU55 1856-S Type Two Gold Dollar

1856-S G$1 Type Two AU55 NGC. The last Type Two gold dollars were struck in San Francisco in 1856; Philadelphia and Dahlonega, the other two Mints to strike gold dollars that year, were already on the Type Three design. This is a lightly worn example with ample luster remaining in wheat-gold fields. Mild to moderate abrasions with a long, wispy flaw in a line near Liberty's mouth.(Registry values: N1793)
