Important Near-Mint 1857-C Gold Dollar
1857-C G$1 AU58 NGC. Variety 10-L, the only die pairing for the year. This is an attractive and unusually high-end representative of the penultimate Charlotte gold dollar issue, pleasingly detailed in the centers with rich gold-orange fields that show vibrant luster. Minimally marked overall with just a touch of friction on the highest design elements that precludes a finer designation.
