Scarce 1857-D Gold Dollar, AU55
1857-D G$1 AU55 PCGS. Variety 9-L, the only variety for the year. Lustrous light yellow-gold surfaces with a hint of green color. Both sides have high point weakness, typical of this issue. Slight imperfections are present on both sides, as usual for this issue and for all Southern Mint gold coinage.
