Gorgeous Orange-Gold Rarity

1857-D G$1 AU58 PCGS. Winter 9-L. A surprisingly well-preserved example of this popular Dahlonega gold dollar issue from a mintage of only 3,533 pieces. It comes by its grade honestly, with just a touch of light wear at the highest parts over the otherwise undisturbed surfaces. Orange-gold coloration prevails, and with only 13 coins finer at PCGS, this colorful example is an attractive find for any collector. Population: 21 in 58 (1 in 58+), 13 finer (4/25).
