1857 Gold Dollar, MS65
Conditionally Scarce
1857 G$1 MS65 PCGS. Although the 1857 gold dollar was a
higher mintage issue with 774,789 pieces struck, surviving examples
are scarce in Gem condition. Lustrous butter-gold surfaces provide
this Gem with immediate eye appeal. The centers reveal a pleasing
degree of design detail, while portions of the dentils reveal
blending on both sides. Population: 14 in 65, 14 finer
